Process for Department Coordinators

This resource is meant to help department coordinators navigate the Fall 2020 course changes.

  • Courses with projected enrollment >25 offered online, no action needed. This is the default.

Please note that the OTR spreadsheet was sent out before the cap was moved to 25.  If the projected enrollment is >25, just mark as online on the spreadsheet- no other action is needed

  • Courses with projected enrollment <=25 NOT offered in dual modality by course design  (i.e. online only, in-person only, etc. )
  1. Enter information in OTR spreadsheet
  2. Faculty should petition online: use this link – Petition for Exceptions to Dual Modality
  3. Approvals (Chair, Dean, then Provost).   We will let you know when this is done.
  4. Provost informs OTR.
  5. If course has never been offered online before, needs approval under Policy 846. Request must be submitted in CIM to change method of instruction to “In Person and Online.”
